Dr Emily Balme (f)


Qualified in 1990 from Bristol University having intercalated in physiology. Worked in an ophthalmology training post in the southwest before various hospital jobs in Bristol. Completed GP training year in Suffolk and worked for 13 yrs as a Salaried GP before becoming a Partner in 2007.  I also work for the Eastern Adoption and Fostering Agency and have an interest in child safeguarding.

Dr Jonathan C Knight (m)


Qualified from UCH and Middlesex Hospital, London, in 1990. Trained in General Practice in Watford before further work in paediatrics and then relief work in a refugee hospital in Tanzania. Moved to Suffolk in 1997 to join Lattice Barn Surgery as a full-time partner. Interests include dermatology, paediatrics and poetry.

Dr Katie Smith (f)

BSc BM (Southampton) MRCP nMRCGP

Qualified from Southampton in 2003 and, following a move to Suffolk, was trained in general medicine at Ipswich Hospital before entering General practice as a Salaried GP in 2008 and became a partner in 2011.

Dr Ayesha Zahra (f)


Qualified in Pakistan in 2002 and following various positions in Pakistan relocated to the UK in 2005. She started training as a General Practitioner at West Suffolk Hospital and joined our practice in January 2013.

Dr Peter Burn (m)


Graduated from the Royal Free Medical School, London in 1985. He arranged his own training in Oxford and in some of the nearby hospitals. He then practiced in New Zealand for eight months before returning to the UK. His interest is in dermatology.

Dr Nicola Skrinchuk (f)

MD MRCGP (2013)

Although Ipswich born and bred she graduated from Sechenov's Moscow Medical Academy in 2002. Following various posts in Cambridge and West Suffolk she started training as a General Practitioner at Ipswich Hospital and completed training in 2013 before joining our practice in January 2015

Dr Paru Subramanian (f)


Graduated from India in 2000; worked in Australia for 6 months, trained in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in the UK for 10 years, and Paediatrics for a year. Completed GP training in Ipswich. Special interests - women's health and medical education.

Dr James Moore-Smith (m)

MB.BS, JCPTGP, Diploma in Practical Dermatology

Graduated from St Bartholomew's Hospital Medical School, London in 1986.  After full qualification he joined the Ipswich Vocational Training Scheme and finished General Practice Training in 2002.  He has worked in many Suffolk practices and enjoys a generalised approach. He has an interest in Dermatology.

Dr Eki V Omorogbe (m)


Graduated from University of Benin, Nigreria in 1998. He started training as a General Practitioner at Ipswich Hospital in 2013 and joined our practice in January 2017.

Dr Dan Griffin (m)


Qualified from St George's University of London Medical School in 2012 and came back to his home County of Suffolk to train as a GP. Completed GP Training in West Suffolk and joined the practice in 2017.

Nurse Practitioners

Advanced Practitioners are qualified to assess patients' physical, psychological and social needs and to diagnose and implement agreed management plans with patients, including appropriate prescribing and referrals to specialists. Our team of Advanced Practitioners work closely with the doctors and provide pre bookable appointments for patients.

Registered Independent Prescriber 2001.  Graduated BSc Hons (first class) Nurse Practitioner July 2006.  General Practice experience between 2004 to present.

A and E experience from 1995- 2017, Diploma in Coronary Care 1998, Diploma in Accident and Emergency Nursing 1999, Minor injuries qualification 2003 Degree level, Worked as an Emergency Nurse Practitioner 2003- 2017, Independent Nurse prescriber 2017 and currently undertaking Msc in Advanced Healthcare Practice
